PROTECTION THE RIGHTS OF OUR WORKERS COMING INTO THE UK

We need protection from violence, exploitation and abuse for Asylum & Immigration to the UK

Illegal immigrants amnesty call is needed badly

It would be interesting to know of peoples views about  migrants  Newark local paper, 23rd November 2007. Lorry loads of misery two of 15 illegal immigrants brought into the UK this week were found close to death after being locked in lorries for four days with no light and little water.  This topic has been brought to the forefront thanks to your reporting  in our local weekly news paper.Trafficking is a violation of fundamental exploitation and abuse in the first place. We need rights for young and older people coming to the UK.

Giving an amnesty to illegal immigrants people living illegally in the UK could raise billards in taxes.

I personal believe asylum seekers have a right of refuge, and that immigrants are important to the Newark and the UK economically and provide diverse communities. Let’s Campaigners and call for better treatment of asylum seekers wanting to work and better processing system.

Some people  might believe Britain cannot cope with the number of immigrants and asylum seekers coming into the country, and call for tighter regulation. Some also feel immigration is causing Britain to lose its cultural identity.

I challenge all churches, faith communities, development agencies and  government, local and national to work hand in hand for the good of all.

The National Minimum Wage migrants abuse

We need an effective enforcement is essential for the success of the National Minimum Wage. The vulnerable workers are often unaware of their employment rights, including those relating to the Minimum Wage, or fearful of taking any action to enforce them.

  • Citizens in the European Union and the European Economic Area are allowed to live, work and study in the UK without having to obtain special permission.

If people who have been working continuously in the UK for four years with a work permit, and who are still required by their employer, can apply for ‘indefinite leave to remain. They are considered to be permanently settled. After five years living in the UK, or three years if they are married to someone from the UK, foreign nationals can apply to naturalise as British citizens.
Those who came to the UK under the highly skilled migrant programme can also apply for indefinite leave to remain after they have been resident for four years.

The cost of finding and deporting illegal immigrants would be outweighed by the gains from taxing them in the first place.

This are my personal views
